The MIBAC (Italian Ministry for Cultural Assets and Heritage) can count a total of 23,314 assets in its archives relating to the cultural heritage of the province of Ancona: 79 museum facilities associated with the Museum System of the Province of Ancona; 47 municipalities comprising the territory of Marca Anconetana, each of which expresses their own culture and folklore in the life and events of every day, preserving the image of their origins in the architecture. Marca Anconetana features a very wide variety of coast and inland products, proposed in a characteristic manner and in very original dishes: The famous fish soup or chowder, stockfish with potatoes, meats coke in porchetta or grilled – pork first and foremost. Then there are the savoury Easter pizzas, the ciarimbolo salami, the cauliflower, the tripe alla canapina, the vincisgrassi pasta, potacchio and the many, prestigious wines, from world famous DOCG quality wines like Verdicchio.

A little castle founded amidst the vines and still strongly linked to the production of Verdicchio wine, San Paolo di Jesi dominates the valley to the right of the Esino River from its 224 metres of altitude, just a few kilometres from Jesi. The town enjoys beautiful views, with excellent walks to be had by tourists appreciative of peaceful destinations and pleasures of the table.

The town has a population of just 840 inhabitants and a surface area of 10 square kilometres. San Paolo di Jesi is easy to reach from the major centres of the valley and Adriatic coast. It stands 40 kilometres from Ancona, 25 kilometres from Falconara airport and just 5 kilometres from the entrance/exit to the highway.
